The United Russia Party of Russian Federation successfully organized the 10th General Assembly of ICAPP in Moscow on 24-27 October, 2018. The delegations from 35 political parties from Asian region and 70 political parties from African and Latin American states attended this year’s General Assembly, further discussing and exchanging views on “Role of Political Parties in Reducing International Tensions and Combating Extremism” and the “Importance of International Inter-party Cooperation in the Formation and Development of Political, Economic and Social Ties between States”.
Advisor to Secretary General of MPP, Ms. Ts.Munkhtsetseg and the Head of Department of Media and Information, Ms. A.Enkhzul represented Mongolian People’s Party.
Advisor to Secretary General of MPP, Ms. Ts.Munkhtsetseg and the Head of Department of Media and Information, Ms. A.Enkhzul each gave their speeches on “Mongolian People’s Party’s policy to ensure and protect women’s rights”, “The actuality of Mongolian media” during the Fifth session of Women’s Wing and Forth session of Media Forums.
The delegations discussed about the growing tension in international community, about the hazards of terrorism and extremism, admitting that the co-operation and friendly ties between political parties would contribute to encounter these problems and signing the Moscow Declaration. One of the provisions said, “We shared a common understanding that reducing international tension and combating violent extremism is a commitment and obligation under the principles and values enshrined in the Charter of the ICAPP and the United Nations, thus reaching a common understanding on the importance of roles of social media and the Internet in reducing substantial amount of tensions and combating violent extremism. In this regard, to battle these problems the political parties must enhance their co-operation and strengthen their friendly ties.”
